    Ok I played with it.........

    Seems better than sliced bread.

I did see a cheap 2 gallon compressor at Pep Boyz for $69.99.I am willing to bet if you put the 2 together......

i just went online and it is listed there so you can check to see if there are any nearby. i was able to order one up so we shall see if they actually have it in stock when they open in the morning. this would be the advace/checker version for 24.99.

thanks for the info... i have been wanting a decent compressor for awhile.

so what's the difference? when you look at the pdf for the mv-50 it brings up the mf-1050 specs and the descriptions are identical.

If you need a little tank for it look at an auto shop for a used R-134 tank. They hold about 2 gallons and are usualy free.
I have one hooked up to a GM air ride air pump.

Well, no luck so far finding the $24.99 deal... even went all the way down to wheat ridge (north denver area) to check out the pep boys $59.99 deal and they didn't have any either

I noticed the company is based in denver so you would think there would be piles of them everywhere. guess not. 'course there are a lot of 4x4's here too.

anyway, oddly enough the pepboys website has the checker model listed so i went ahead and ordered one. it's the mv-50 listed as "key accessories" for mfr. :? pretty strange.

it's $71 w/free shipping so if you consider tax and fuel to get there (again) it comes out about the same. for those of you without a pepboys within driving distance this might be a way to get one also.

i would imagine (if they even HAVE them) it will actually be the 1050 model. i might have to call customer service and see what the deal is since it is in the ad for $59.99 maybe they will honor it.

The pep boys ad yesterday had the#MF-1040 for $32 and change.
    The MF-1050 for $59.99.
As much as I HATE pep boyz guess I'll head over there sometime today.
Course you just know they wont have one in stock.

Thanks for the heads up on this compressor. I called the local Kragens and they had one in stock. Funny thing is when I showed up, they had the MV-40 on the shelf for $35.00. The units were opened and in questionable shape. I asked the clerk if they had the MV-50 and she went in the back for 10mins before she came out with the unit. Last one left. It was in perfect shape. I tried it last night. Works great!!!

The clerk says that another store in town has one also. I might go get that one also.

I checked Checker's website, and the three closest stores to me all have mv-50 stock listed. I suppose I should stop at the one that's about 1 mile from my house and check them out.

Have a buddy at Checker - he and I bought ours from PepBoys (the other model) as nobody has them in the western region (not sure what that all is) for Checker any longer.
