    Hey guys,

I know many of you are like me with leaky radiators. Yes they suck and if you're trying to buy a new one can be very costly, around the $150-$200 range for the same, brass, gonna leak in a few years radiator. I was tinkering in the garage today and remember I still had my old radiator out of my 1988 Mazda RX-7. Come to find out its almost the same dimensions as my old radiator and fits almost perfectly. The two differences would be the upper radiator hose now is on the passenger side. Mounting points are almost the same as the stock radiator only minor drilling was required to make them fit, they have the eyelets just like the old Jeep radiator, just in different' places. I've seen many of these radiators in good shape go for less than $50 on Ebay plus they're aluminum and I think they have the same if not more cooling capacity than the stock radiator. I'll try to add some pictures within the next few days. Hope this helps all of you in search of a new radiator without spending a ton of money. Talk to ya later,
    Mike (littlepurplecj)

This picture kind of sucks, I just got it installed. Its 10:19pm so its dark outside and so the picture wasn't the easiest to take, later this weekend I'll have some daytime pictures. Also the tubes in the radiator are up and down identical to the Jeep radiator and it is a 2 core aluminum radiator. Hope this helps,

Any problems with hose routing with it moving? I was trying to decide from the pic.

I know the upper hose I may have to do some work to but shouldn't be too big of a hassle, the lower radiator hose is kind of close to the oil filter but if I really wanted to I can trim some of the fitting off of the radiator to get it to fit, they give you more than enough,,,,its at least 3 inches long. But it pretty much fits the same as the stock Jeep radiator.

The tubes are mounted up and down, It was mounted the same way as it is in the Jeep now,,,when it was in the Mazda.

Mine has an oil filter relocation kit so the oil filter isn't an issue.

    Interesting...

I'll have a lot better pictures on Sunday for sure, with better angles etc. I like it a lot better than the stock brass radiator.
