History: Spring; determined that I had a cracked flex plate and ordered one from the local Parts+ store.

Well we finally got into our new home and I have had time to get the Jeepster on a lift and the tranny out--should have pulled the motor, much easier. The Flex Plate was ready to fall apart. The cracked one has a weight on it. The weight has "350" stenciled on it. I dont know if it means that the plate was for a gm350 that was externally ballanced (dont even know if the 350 is externally ballanced) or if it means that the weight is 3.50 ounces. Maybe it means nothing. But I have no idea if my Jeepster has the correct Flex Plate in it or not. The teeth look very good for a 35 year old flex plate.

Anyway enough rambling, does anyone know if the '70 Jeepster v6 flex plate has a extra weight welded to it? My new flex plate looks very much like the other flex plate except there are no external weight.

    Thanks for any help.
