    Oil filter is hitting the metal part of the motor mount. I had to take off the motor mount in order to remove the oil filter. This jeep is new to me and I don't know any of its history. The registration states it is a 1970, but rest of jeep states different. Can anyone help me age my jeep and give ideas on how to fix mount prob??? Info that I have been trying to use - stamped on block is 809A22, inline 6, states above rad that engine is a 258, looks like AMC model 20 rear end(round with 10 bolts), 59" wide windshield, that is sloped, 71.5" from door hinge to back, it came with a FRAM PH25 oil filter. I am attaching pics that may help. Please help! I think I may have the wrong mount or wrong engine mounting bracket. But I don't know how to tell. Or order parts for what year? I have been ordering untill I get a part that fits or looks like the original. I have replaced the clutch by trial and error fitting, put in new 1 piece axles, new distributer, starter, ring gear and am almost ready to drive it around and see if it all falls apart, but the bloody oil filter.... wrong part to begin with?
    Thanks

    engine code = Sept 22, 1975
    A = 258 1bbl carb 8.0 to 1 compression

    looking at pic of Jeep, body looks to be 1975 and prior
    steering column looks 76 and later
    anything is possible though

    there are several other oil filters that will work
    the PH 25 is the short and fat style
    there are thinner and smaller diam filters also
    I only have OEM Jeep numbers, no Fram or equivalent
    see if FLAPS can cross these Jeep #s for you:
    Jeep 8993146 = PH25
    Jeep 8132313 = 1980 GM 151 4 cyl, very short and small diam
    Jeep 3241096 = late 80s Jeep 258, much thinner diam, might be longer though
    just check the threads to make sure they are the same (they should be, no metric)
