Dana 20 Shifter rails

    What do each shifter rail control? Looking to find out so when i twin stick the Dana 20 i will know how to shift it ;)

    It works just like a dana300 twinstick setup. The rail/lever closest to you works the rear output. The one on the pass side controls the front output. You can have high-neutral-low on either output. That means you can run rear 2wd high or low range as well as front 2wd high or low range. Just be carefull you don't put one in high and one in low. With both rails all the way out everything is in high range, with both all the way in everything is in low range. Once you figure it out its really very simple.

    I don't believe there is any way to run front 2wd in a D20 or D18.

    D18 no, D20 yes, because the rear output is centered. Just put the rear in neutral and select high or low for the front. Of course the hubs have to be locked. :D I also have removed the interlock pill if thats what you were thinking about.

    Pardon my ignorance, but is there an aftermarket kit to do this conversion, or is it all home fabbed? I'm looking to do something, because my factory shifter is all slopped out. Thanks....

    Pretty much th edana 20 is home fabbed. i think there is a kit out there but not sure, maybe do a google search.
