I'm in the market for a new fuel gauge for my ride. I replaced the sender about 4 years ago as the gauge didn't work. We'll that didn't fix the problem, so I think it's the gauge (I just lived with the gauge not working for the last 4 years). I bought the sending unit through Four Wheel Drive Hardware and I can't remember what ohm rating it had.

I did a search on this board and I came up with a couple of possible answers. One was 73ohm to 10ohms. The other was (I cant remember)ohms to Zero ohms. Can anyone shed some light on what the answer might be? I'm thinking this is the gauge I need: Gauge

73-10 for the factory sending unit I believe
I would disconnect the sender wire; check for pulsating voltage with test light; if pulsating voltage, momentarily ground the wire and watch dash unit; needle should slowly move to full; if not, dash gauge most likely no werky
you are not using factory cluster ?

Nope. All Autometer Pro Comp and One Sport Comp gauge mounted in a row in a fiberglass dash board. I'm going to post more pics of my Jeep as soon as the weather breaks around here.
