Need hood bumpers. Got plan. Buy dog leash. Need windshield tie down strap too; so far so good. Tie down will work when we see how long it should be.Need bumpers on to see final length before fixing new latch hardware. Make bumpers out of leash and (heater hose). Plan fail. Fat hose, fatter strap. Big honkin' bumper, if it had worked! Don't need Groucho Marx hood bumpers!! What is hood bumper? (the rubber part?)

Somewhere between inner tube and heater hose.......... Original wasn't that big, by any means!!

How about flattening the hose, lay it on top and through bolting it? Maybe even wraping it around the sides and bolting it.

SSDutch had some kind of hose over the standoffs..gotta be something that would fit!

Original wasn't tubing over the entire standoff though, it was like this:

Yup, Mike, that was it. Now I gotta find the right hose or tubing... Hmmmmm. Thinking cap seems a little tight tonight.

Thought about that idea, Scott. Still thinking......

Gotta split for work now. Tomorrow I can go back to thinking. Heh-heh!
