    So to quote Ron White, "I had a near death experience, well actually I didn't even get hurt."

    Here I am going 40 down a back road when the steering stops working! The wheel comes off in my hands! :shock:

    The splines on the steering wheel have stripped and the lock nut had backed off, its possible the one of the POs had slightly to big a wheel on there. Talk about a scary experience, I managed to get it stopped about two feet from a ditch.

    I'm just lucky it was on a striaght road and for once my Jeep didn't have the wanders!!!

    haha been there cept my shaft snapped where the PO had welded it back together and never warned me...
