Locked Up

    Well, I got the O/D off and talked to Herm. He thinks the cluster gear in the trans is frozen. So I need to pull the trans (Ford 4 speed and transfer case). Man I just put the new motor in and it sure would have been easier then!!
    What is the best: to pull both as a unit or pull the Transfer case first?

    Pull the OD Gear off of the x-fer then pull the rest as a unit. That nut on the OD gear can be tuff to fanagle with the trans and xfer loose - the rest is pretty easy to while it out. My $.02. (Wish I woulda asked before I had to do that :rofl: )
