I just got my basket case 69 CJ5 running with new 225 and all the up grades I could come up with.
On the dash is a switch marked Micro Brake. I know it locks the brakes somehow. My question is what is it where is it and how do I disconect it while I am rewiring essential things. Yesterday I went to move the jeep and it felt locked and wouldn't move. I popped the clutch something let go and it moved.
    Thanks for any information.

Somewhere in line with your brake lines. If you hold the brakes on and appy the switch it should hold the pressure and keep you still. It should release when you switch it off.

Let me know if you want to get rid of it ;)

Some release by having to push harder on the brakes (more line preasure than it is holding). These can be tricky if you lock them to hard.

Had a friend that we had to bleed the rear lines after it got locked and he couldn't release it.

If you leave them 'on' for a long time they can freeze one in place. You also need to make sure your not setting it too hard on a regular basis. Mr C's statment was 'just enough' force.

More than that I can not say. I have one in the shop, but have not put it on yet.

I have heard not to rely on them over night. The pressure can bleed down and the brakes will release. Very good for a quick hold on a hill or other obstacle.
    Just an opinion.
