    Hi all -
I just finished my power saginaw conversion, disk brake conversion, BDS 2.5" lift install, and swap to 33x12.5x15's on 8" rims. I have the Dana 27a axle. All in a '68 CJ5, v6.
I drove it around the block a bit and all seems ok, but I took it off road and then back onto pavement and then home. I noticed that the dirt is "scrubbed" off the tires everywhere but on the inside edges. See PICTURE below. Is this improper TOE-IN ? I read in another post that originally Jeeps had (positive) camber ? (Meaning the tires tilted outward at the top ?) She handles pretty well as far as I can tell, but if I can decrease odd tire wear and improve handling, let me know, THANKS !!!!

I did not shim the front axle for caster/camber adjustment... could that be it ?

It was dark out and the picture is a little decieving because of the angle, the tires do not appear to be "toe-ed out" when you look at them, but as you can see, the "dust" remains on the inside edges of both tires.

    Any input is appreciated !

have you checked the toe?? Camber is noy adjustable on a model 27. Caster is adjusted with tapered shims but niether has anything to do with toe. Drive a nail thru a 2x4 and with the front axle off the ground place the 2x4 with the nail under front tires one and a time and spin the tire by hand and scribe a line around the tread of the tire. then lets then jack down and measure the distance between the lines at the front and back to check toe. The front measurment should be 1/8 to 1/4 less than the rear.

Looks way toed out in the photo.
