That's not the one I saw. Thanks for the link. Not exactly as I'd want it but acceptable. I would like more pictures for our specific years. My old doors had snaps at the front where it attached to the tub. Can't really tell what's on this one for sure. I can deal with now lower window on the doors. I still have my old doors. Faded fabric wouldn't match but....

Of course if Joe sells me his fastback top, it's all moot.

I just emailed Bestop with some specific questions about the Tigertop that Fino linked. I'll share all that with the group in a separate thread if they reply. I also thanked them for continuing to support what we realize is something of a niche market for our old jeeps.

The 2 piece doors are great, when I'm on the trail I leave the bottom part in place and stow the uppers behind the rear seat. In case of rain I can easily put the top and doors on.
In the old days, taking the full doors along was always a PITA.

Oh and speaking of snaps...the other day I wanted to get something out of the back of my Commando. I unsnapped the tailgate and was nowhere near being able to get the snaps snapped (it was a 55ish degree day)
Had to wait for today, warm and sunny, to be able to get it re-snapped. :censored:
Oh and if you look closely at this picture you can see another problem with snaps...the row of holes where old snaps were from a previous top!
    I HATE snaps....YMMV 20250316_154009.jpg

I get it. And a lot of jeeps have left over holes from where snaps used to be. The new tops use velcro right? Is there Velcro stuck to the tub that accepts the the opposing velcro on the top? What does that look like when the top is not on the jeep? Curious about that if there are pictures.

I actually grabbed it from Grant thinking it would only be good as door frames and a template to make something.

I need to get on with making that something.
The frame is functionally a canvas half cab frame. The bow simply hinges back instead of relying on bow sockets.

It's not a Velcro edge....the fabric top has a hard plastic flange stitched along the bottom that slips under a metal channel piece that is bolted on the top edge of the CJ body - sorta like the top of windshield chanel. my CJ has the super top - although that's more because the PO installed it - I ran a tigertop style on my cj7. I don't run the top a lot when we've been wheeling, but the channel pieces are always there. I don't use the channel on the rear - snaps along top of tailgate.

As Fino says, the super top just has black painted aluminum flanges exposed when the top/sides are off. Looks much better than snaps as far as I am concerned:

    Yep, those #**#!## PO's

Fireball installed the Super Top on Old Blue and like Doug, the instant 1/2 doors are very convenient.

My 69 came with the snap on Tiger top in really good condition. I sold that snap on top and replaced it with a Super Top that uses the bolt on rails.
I would never go back to a snap on top unless it was the only option.

So I like the way the supertop attaches. Its what I put on my 56 cj5 after getting out of high school. Would be cool to merry the newer tech with the old look. I now it will not happen. The old jeeps are a small market. People today want mall crawlers

Can someone with a supertop get me a measurement?
I either need the angle of the back slope, or the distance from the back of the top to the windshield frame at around 18” above the top of rear fenders.

Also, are the sides in the back vertical or do they angle in?

I have interference on my current top at the back corners with my roll cage and hoping this one works.
    Thanks!!

Thanks for the responses, I think I can pull an angle from the image. It will be close but it looks like it might work..

I got 16 degrees from the image so seems close enough. Thanks!
