    Hey guys,
I want to cut down a full metal hardtop to make a 1/2 hardtop much like a scrambler top. How difficult is this??? The top I have doesn't seem to taper any towards the back or anything so how hard could it be???? I just want to cut out the rusty window sections and weld the front and back together. I would also need to build/modify a scrambler bulkhead. How difficult is this??? This would be a learning experience for me and I only paid 50 bucks for the top and doors off a 72.

    Holla at me

Depends on whether you have more time than money, or vice-versa. There were plenty of half-cabs made, and you can find them if you look around. Even some members might be able to help you...

You'd probably pay nearly as much for the Scrambler bulkhead as for another half cab. Anything for a Scrambler is expensive. The bulkhead isn't fancy - take some measurements, make a drawing, find someone with a shear and brake to make one for you.

Ah, I have more time than money. Besides, I have this one that needs work anyway so why not?
I was curious if anyone here has done this. A bulkhead wouldn't be tough to make I don't think.
    Anyone done this personally??

    Thanks
