1300 Miles?

Pretty skeptical of this claim

Lost a zero or two on the miles?

 

It's a very good looking cj, might even be worth close to the asking price.
But if you're going to claim mileage that low, better have some solid evidence to back it up.

 

It might be a nice rig but "I do not know a whole lot about it" is a huge red flag.

 

Maybe documentation backs up his claim ?
Best not be any brake/clutch pedal pad wear.
Lousy front cage work.

 

No way the seat has rips in it.

 

The milage claim makes every word in the add nothing but a used car salesman story.

 

More miles? Have to agree on that. Unless the people riding in the Jeep wore sandpaper underwear, it has more than 13,000 miles. The seats are worn out.
Looked at a lot of Jeeps. Most of them stretched the truth a whole lot.
One TJ I looked at for my son, had the AC vents melted and sagging. Came up and they were repainting the door panels. Everything plastic was wavy and sagging. Called the guy up and asked if had been in a fire. He says, "No, my fault, I left the top down in the summer and it melted the plastic". I told him he was full of it over the phone and left it right there.
The rubber ends of the bumpers were melted and glopped up in the steel bumpers. Needed an interior, a complete re-wire, and the spare wheel was badly bent. Looked like the body was tweaked on the frame.
Stayed on Craigslist for a long time and his comment was, "This is a good Jeep and I'm tired of Low-Ball offers!" That was a very dishonest man. I hope he didn't stick someone with that.
Skeptical for sure!

That’s a lot of aftermarket bolt on parts for a Jeep that was driven so little. Allegedly.

 

That whole Jeep has been gone through top to bottom. All interior painted or undercoated black. Entire engine compartment painted black, purple plastic wire loom, small aftermarket tail lights, I could go on and on. Yes, it looks like a nice solid Jeep, and am betting the new speedo only shows 1300 miles. Maybe the seller thinks there are others out there as naive as he is.
Even the price isn’t crazy compared to other Jeeps on the market, but don’t represent it as an ultra-low mileage vehicle.

The funniest thing to me is there isn’t a photo of the speedometer at all

 

So, I emailed the seller.
It is not 1300 miles on the Jeep. It's 1300 miles on a rebuild engine.

 

It identifies as Low Milage.

 

So, it can use whichever restroom it wants?
