Any Members Near Modesto Ca

I need help getting a Jeep transmission located in Waterford Ca.

 

I will be passing by there on Highway 99 south on the 22nd and north on June 1st. I guess I could get it to someone else heading east at some point.

 

Rare 1 year only CJ T18 transmission.
Salvage Seller won’t ship.
Need it picked up and headed toward St. Louis.
Get it to the Colorado fall color tour by September or set it on a pallet and I can prepay Fastenal.
Will gladly make it worth someone’s time if requested.

 

Is anyone here near Waterford Ca ?

 

I'll be passing through that area on friday afternoon on my way to Angels Camp, CA. Then again on Sunday night on my way back to Los Angeles. Happy to grab it for you and babysit until you can coordinate someone heading eastbound.

 

Behind a 225?

 

1976 4.02 T18 from a CJ.
Only year with the super short 10” long maindrive gear.
I will be mating it without an adapter plate direct to a D225.
I want the short input CR T18 because unlike the WR T18 I can actually use all 4 gears when on the road.
D20 does not have overdrive as an option and the extra road gear will be handy on steep windy hiways.

If anyone else can make the trip to pick it up I will need at least a week notice.
I have not yet paid the salvage yard and figure it will take at least a week by slow mail for payment to arrive in Ca.
