I need an original, functional 12V pancake horn for my 1970 CJ5 restoration. (Update) I got one. Thanks.

The original horn had a positive wire that was always hot, the button in the steering wheel closed the negative side of the circuit. No relays.

Grant is correct here. I had forgotten I changed my horn connection with the total rewire many years ago. I'm still convinced it is original. It just does not have power applied until I hit the button. I'm not using a relay, and the horn switch is rated for 4 amps intermittent duty.
Consider this model for all stock applications:
Flat Metal Horn (12 Volt) Fits 41-71 Willys & Jeep | Kaiser Willys

Twin2 mentioned a single terminal which is how I remembered mine. But as you can see in my photo, I grounded the second terminal. This modern way of horn wiring opened up more possibilities (hence the link for the Roadrunner horn), but since my beep-beep horn works, I kept it for something still original on my resto-mod.

I took the advice and bought the one from Kaiser Willys and swapped the front cover from the original one to duplicate it as much as possible. Works great. It's very loud in my garage. Ask me how I know. Thanks everyone for your advice. This is a great forum for us old Jeep lovers.
