    Hi guys,

noob question for you. I noticed that my passenger side headlight was much dimmer than the drivers side. They also didn’t match so I just went ahead and ordered 2 new replacements. Just turned them on for the first time at night and noticed that the passenger side light is still weak, and seemingly a different tint, compared to drivers side, but probably just weaker.

I assume this is a connection issue and I should just try cleaning those first (then replacing wiring if it doesn’t fix the problem). Just wondering if it could be something else. Thanks. Any advice on connection cleaning products/practices is also appreciated. - John

Yup. Follow the wiring back as far as it is separate from the other headlight. But FIRST be sure of the grounding.

You can leave them on for a few minutes and check for and temperature variations in the wiring and connectors.

Do you have an electrical meter to test the voltages at each of the sockets?

I don’t. I’ll just try cleaning them first.
