Hello and thanks for taking time to read this. My 1970 CJ5 with Dauntless and T14A transmission has a leaking transfer case. My research tells me it's a Dana 20 behind the V6, is this correct?

    Thank you!

Dana 18. look for the offset rear output housing/driveshaft.

X2. No factory Dana 20s behind V6's except in Commandos. Should be a "large hole" Dana 18 with both the front and rear driveshafts offset to the passenger side of the Jeep inline with each other. A Dana 20 will have the rear driveshaft inline with the transmission and (more or less) centered in the chassis while the front is offset to the passenger side.

Thank you wheelie and Fireball! It's leaking and needs addressed, too the T14A needs a second gear synchro so time to order some parts.
