What’s Wrong?

    Anyone know what’s wrong with my engine. 1968 Dauntless V6. Passenger side middle piston is at the top and 2 outer pistons are about halfway. But driver side there almost all halfway.

    You can't just cut 2 cylinders off a normal 90 degree V8 to make a V6. It takes more planning to keep everything working right. The ignition system has to change, and it's a bit of a bastard here.
    The 60 degree V6 has even firing, more balanced and is used now for that reason.
    Once you understand, you will have more respect for how GOOD the V8 engine is and why it's been used so many places.
