“jeep” Decals

I’ve been able to find reproduction decals for everything except the embossed “JEEP” on the sides of the cowl. I’m pretty sure they were originally painted, but at one time someone made a vinyl sticker to go there. Anyone still making these?

I remember a discussion from years ago about painting the Logo - Someone used a cigarette filter as a paint roller and bent a paperclip as the holder.

I have those same decals from eBay. I can vouch they look great installed. People always think they’re painted. Just be careful with aligning them.

I had initially tried to hand paint my logos and it looked like absolute garbage. Luckily, the paint was soft enough where I was just able to polish it off by hand.

 

I just installed the decals yesterday.
Pro tip:
Cut the backing down tightly around “JEEP”. It is much easier to get good alignment if you’re not trying to see through the paper.
