Obviously it's a POS but the Willys front clip on the Land Cruiser looks pretty cool.
It would take someone with excellent fabrication skills to make it look good

 

I’m scratching my head as I look at the netting between the cowl and the hood. I think this concept vehicle needs more refinement.

I think it's just a mismatch between the length of the hood on the FJ vs the Willys.
If a guy wanted that to look "right" he'd have to graft some sheetmetal in there, probably a chunk of a Toyota hood.
