    Yes, plural.
It’s likely that I’ll have two surplus steering boxes and mounts from ‘72-‘75 CJ frames that I’ve acquired. I’m keeping the third mount.

I suspect that there may be some interest in them from those that are converting from Ross steering boxes. Once I’m certain that they’re surplus, I’ll post in the classified section. But… I have no idea of their value. One mount has a small torch cut; do I weld it or sell as is, and let the buyer repair it?

    I don’t know what I don’t know!

Remanufactured manual steering boxes on rockauto are about 150 + 50 for the core. Just FYI

I would value them at around $75 ea.
You will find this particular mount advertised for more.
The downside is the 72-75 mount isn't ideal for a steering conversion on 71 and prior models.
    That's just my opinion.
But these do break and there is a market for these replacement brackets.
    Good luck.

    ‘Nuther question:

The mounting bracket I have has three holes for the steering box to bolt on to it. It looks as though the PS box has four bolts. Is it possible and satisfactory to install the power steering box with only three bolts?

I wouldn't and seriously consider some sort of brace to the opposite rail.

Been running 4 bolt box on my homebrew 3 bolt mount for over 10 years now....wouldn't worry about it unless rock crawling.
Should you beef it up...that's up to you.

I’ve been running of these on my 71 for years with a three bolt tj power steering box with no issues. Ran 35s for a bit and didn't notice any issues then either

Thank you all for the replies. I’ll probably visit the local salvage yard to see what they might have. The above link to Lee helped a bunch; a GM box could bolt right up - hafta get the pitman arm with it, I guess.
