    I always check the date on them, my local tire guy won't mount a tire if it's 6 years or older, even for a spare.

    I sold the ones on my CJ6, 5 for $500, they were sold within 2 hours on marketplace. The guy is using them on a muddy buggy, so he said.

    The true test for how bad the dry rot is comes when you try to add air and the sidewall just bulges more. :D But yeah, walk away from these even if they're free.
