Dauntless Clutch Cable Help Needed

Trying to figure out a basket case is no fun...but the jig saw puzzle is challenging.
I will be ordering a V6 bellcrank soon but not sure what cable to order.


There seems to be two cables a 14.25 long bellcrank to fork cable with a ball end.

There is also a 58.25 long cable.
Don't understand that one at all.

Proper clutch control components for late 60’s or early 7O’s CJ depends on year, engine, specific transmission.

The long cable was implemented by Jeep in 1970 to eliminate the bell crank all together. It goes directly from the clutch pedal, loops to the rear over the frame to a bracket on the transfercase, and the directly actuates the clutch arm. You need a bracket to attach to the frame near the pedal and bracket for the transfercase for it to work.

With a quality cable like the one from Inline Tube, it's a much better setup than the bellcrank. The bell crank setup can bind when the Jeep is twisted up on an obstacle. It also reduces chatter. In fact, Jeep sold a retrofit kit through the dealers back in the day with a bolt-on frame bracket.
