Helped A Guy Winch Out

I went dirt biking with a couple of buddies yesterday. Normally by this time of year, so close to Thanksgiving, this area is under a foot or two of snow. We decided to get one last ride in while the weather was good.


In the middle of nowhere, we found a guy stuck deep in a mud pit. We helped him unspool his winch line, hook up to a tree, and get the jeep out of the mud. He had a Smittybilt winch and a wired controller. He winched the jeep out without starting the engine, just on battery power alone. One of my friends was in the jeep steering.


The jeep had an LS3 motor. I think the guy would have winched himself out, but I'm glad we were there at the right time to help.
