T-14 Input Shaft Replacement

    The front bearing in the tranny looks like it was slipping on the input shaft. The book said it has to be pressed off but I was able to take it off by hand. Do I need to replace the input shaft during my rebuild? It has some slight discoloration (inside the bearing too) like it got hot.

    Or it might be worth a call to Herm. I am not familiar enough with the T-14 to answer that.

    yep
    bearing is supposed to be pressed on
    if a new bearing slips right on, shaft is toast
