Interesting mount to windshield frame. Not sure what year that style was used on the cj5’s?? I’m familiar with this style, in chrome (Tuxedo Park) or black

Maybe, but it looks nothing like my OEM 1956. Seems like a later vintage to me.

Mine looks like the pic from Beach66Bum, but only ever had one bolt used.

 

That's what the original ones on my '71 and '69 look like. There is a subtle difference between the two. My early '69 has the bottom wiper windshield with the flat topped glass:


The '71 has the bottom wipers with the curved top glass. Note the casting is thicker at the mounting surface to space the mirror out to clear the windshield gasket. It looks identical otherwise:


The one in the e-bay listing appears to be the thicker one. OE for mid '69-'75 and up curved top windshields. It would still work fine for earlier ones though.

 

That is very interesting! I didn't realize there were two different versions of that mirror, but you are clearly correct about that.
