Roll Bar Hardware

    Hey all, I noticed that the roll bar hardware at some point was replaced with stainless bolts which are random in length. Stainless isn't any good for a roll bar as far as strength so I want to replace them with grade 8 hardware. What did the OEM bolts look like (hex, socket head, ect.) and what was the size/length supposed to be? Was there a spacer between the body and bar mount?

    Not to deter you any, it certainly can't hurt to use grade 8, but I would imagine that the roll bar itself would fail long before the stainless bolts..

    On mine there bottom holes are embossed raising the angle plate above the ribs then there was a sandwich plate in the wheel well.
    Mine was unbolted from the cj when I bought it so I only had to squeeze it to get it out but I did not notice anything for the sides to keep from crushing.
