    This is a 1 1/4” shaft large hole from a 69 CJ.
It was running fine on Saturday, but surely needs a rebuild.
has all single stick linkages and shifter.
    Known deficiencies;
    Front yoke is wasted.
    No rear output flange bolts.
    Speedometer drive gear is wasted.
    No speedometer driven gear.
Has parking brake drum but no backing plate or internal pieces.

Free, just come to the beach and pick it up!

Not sure the shifter will let it fit in the overhead storage. Strap it on a wing with bungies.

22"*14"*9" is carry on dimensions... Might be able to make it fit
On a more serious note, you could disassemble it. I'm sure someone could use the gear set and that would probably fit in a usps large flat rate box.

I'm picturing a backpack going through a metal detector with that in it.
They don't like knitting needles so I'm sure the shift levers will need to be checked cargo with the liquor and booze case.

That would be the next step. Wanted to be sure there wasn’t somebody local to save me the trouble first.

69 is the large hole case (stronger)
    Someone should want that too.
If I was local I'd be all over this.

The gear set would make a great starting point for a super 18. I would pay for the gears if it comes to that. You need to come up for the Rubicon...

This should have the Jeep based gears for the Super 20! Just need 1 Bronco gear I think. Someone needs this!

Thats how you build a D20 with the 2.46 low range of a Dana 18.

An 1 1/4" shaft, 4" index from a 69 IS a super 18. No difference in that case and one from a side fill D20. Gear sets extra-------

How much end play is in the intermediate gear on this? My concern would be with the tore up components, the thrust washer seat may have also taken a bit of a beating. That would be a non-issue if you installed the AA kit.

    As to the defective/missing parts.
The front yoke on the core I rebuilt is the “wasted” one so I harvested the good one from this case. Same with the rear flange bolts.
The speedo gears on the other hand are native to this case and looks like they lived a hard life!
I should have a member coming Friday morning for it… IMG_2847.jpeg

OK, I thought the 20 case was a little beefier, and I have always used those if i had the choice. I just meant that the gears could be shipped, and forget the case to save weight. But good it's going whole to a member.

When I was in college a bunch of my friends dismantled a Bultaco motorcycle and brought it back from England, each taking a piece as "carry-on." Not sure the frame ever made it back though
