Not quite sure where you all are going with this, but an OEM parking brake for a CJ5 is a rock...

That's a dana 20. These came in CJ's between 1972-1979. They then switched to the Dana 300
Here's some info on it: DANA 20 Transfer Case

So the transfer case brake is out for you....You're not missing much.

If I was you, I'd consider finding the Toyota cable linkages that connect to those levers coming out to an equalizer. It would be easier than inventing something. Then you could connect that to whatever single cable lever system you want: Floor pedal, floor lever, etc.

I'm in the process of creating/building an electric parking brake / e-brake with a waterproof, compact actuator. Similar to the E-Stoppe above only much cheaper and considerably more compact (FWIW the E-Stoppe gets pretty good reviews). I'm making the parts/brackets etc for it. I can let you know how it works out. Just a toggle switch...No pedal or lever taking up space and cluttering things up. Until then, I've got line locks which I use as more of a temporary parking brake when four wheeling...Not an e-brake obviously)

Edit: you might post a few pics of each side of your transmission. Although it has nothing to do with your E-brake project (unless you fashion a lever to it), it's always good to know what you have under there...especially on an unorthodox or unfamiliar-to-you set-up.

Much appreciation for the TC ID and suggestion for the brakes.

It inspired me to dig out my paperwork on the CJ, including the original CL ad, and it confirmed the D-20, as well as a T-18 transmission. I'd have done it sooner but couldn't remember exactly where I'd filed it all. Took some digging.

Which reminds me that when I bought this I was going to build a master file on everything I knew about and had installed in this CJ. It's a hybrid and has taken tons of time just narrowing down exactly what I need and have installed. I'm still not certain which springs I have in there, for example, Toyota or Jeep? That day will come.

That link you provided was awesome; I bookmarked several pages, including the one on the T-18 4-speed tranny. They also have adapter plates for motors/transmissions. They supply full rebuild kits as well, including ready-to-go D-20's. They speak pretty highly of the D-20, which was enlightening and comforting to hear. Now I'm wondering how all of this got paired-up in this '68 CJ. 225 oddfire, T-18, D-20, etc. Was the motor original, and the rest added later? I've been meaning to pull the ID #'s off the engine block to see what they can tell me. Looked the other night but I think I need to do some cleaning first because no # was obvious on the passenger side of the block between the headers.

BTW, my motor is painted black now, by the previous owner, but beneath the black paint is PURPLE paint. Ring any bells to anyone, or just a creative prior owner?

Your suggestion about finding the Toyota cable linkages confirmed my original thoughts on how to go about it. Seems like there are two rounded elbows to guide the cables from the center frame to the outboard brake levers. I need that bracket, if nothing else. I'll look around.

I thought the electronic brake was impressive, but I have concerns about precarious locations where that brake may be needed but for whatever reason fails to engage or suddenly fails without warning. I have more faith in a mechanical system, providing everything functions as designed (no cables ripped out...). Sounds like you've got a good line on things, though. Keep us updated!

LOL, but then I'll need a passenger who can jump out to jam it in there while I hold my foot on the brake...

Granny-low is good for most circumstances, but there will be times that it just won't fly.
