Seems about right. Figured I would incorporate the fix now while I have a mess on my hands. I had added a frame mount under the tank, so
may have some more welding while the tank is out to fix/move the four in cab holes before the paint repair.

Fits perfectly! I haven't water tested it yet but it at least lines up correctly and grabs the front lip of the frame correctly.

hahaha. I lowered my seats and slid em back as far as they could go but am up against the wheel well.

Thanks! It's really freeing being able to actually see things LOL.
Now I just have to find a rear view that will work with the new frame. Seems to be a quest in and of itself. I might just have to do a glue on mirror if I can't find anything "correct" for the 69' frame.

Thanks. Good to know, as I have a brand new one around here some where and didn't like it. If I remember correctly, the original ones had
small washers molded in the screw holes. Now I gotta look at the new one. Ebay one looks nice but no washers. A project for another day.
Edit to say I would add a small bit of sealer to the slot that goes in to the lip of the windshield frame.

Sharp looking Jeep! I like that color, and you did a good job with the windshield upgrade.

Also good to know! Any other spots to hit with the sealer? is it normal to go around the inside of the frame with it? Just noticing alot of "breathing room" crevices that might leak and am wondering if gravity/design keeps the water out LOL. I could get crazy with silicone caulking but don't wanna over do it either.

Thank you! I also recently repainted the quarters and fenders in my garage. That's was a whole different saga hahaha.

Oh also.... wanted to ask the collective group.... I'm having trouble getting the wiper arms to fully seat on the linkage posts. It only goes in about 1/4 inch which is nowhere near the depth needed for the little spring tab to click on. I tried dremeling out the hole in the wiper arm itself but it seems like its off quite a bit and don't want to fully sand off the "teeth" inside. These arms are made by AM Auto Parts (ebay).

Does anybody have experience with the Omix ones fitting? The linkage kit is from Barneys so I'm assuming he's providing the correct diameter linkage etc.

I'm no help on the linkage to arm connection but this has me really thinking about how much I don't like my 1 vacuum powered wiper with thumb assist.

With the top mount electric, I went through several arms to find ones that fit. Ended up using adjustable arms that I modified to make
even shorter. The springs were quite stiff and I found some at the hardware store. They wouldn't allow the blade to flop over. I can cut the springs to get more tension and could use a longer blade. Future projects. That said, with the high spring tension, it was a battle to get the arms on.
They are even harder to get off as there is not much room to access the clip and pull while under tension. Nothing is ever simple with mods and discontinued parts.
