My rear calipers with the built in parking brake doesn't work all that well. So, I'm installing the Wilwood Parking Brake.

This is my Stainless-Steel CJ rear brake conversion.

This is what I want to do. Add this. I haven't mounted it yet. I still need to figure out the brackets. I may want to clock the brake caliper to a different position.

I took the parking brake apart to make brackets. This image is missing the mounting bracket.

Interested. Are you running a 44? So a separate caliper, cable actuated, would need a bracket built off the existing caliper bracket?

44? Yes. I'm going to take the existing parking brake cable off of the main caliper and use it on the parking brake caliper.

The dimensions for the adapter plate I made for the MC4's on the D44 rear axle in my be should be here:
    http://www.earlycj5.com/xf_cj5/index.php?threads/106011/page-10

I have them mounted on both sides and ran the cables to the rear, along the axle tubes, and then up over the centerline of the axle to get them to my between the seats lever. You can adjust them so there is very little slack in the system and they will certainly stop you.

I made some brackets today. The final position will be at 3:00.

I have both brackets drilled and one side mounted. This will be the final location. I just need to take the brackets and paint them.

Brackets are installed and I need new parking brake cables.

Used the Diesel Heater to bake the paint.
