Milwaukee Plus Dynafile

I've got a m12 cutoff saw and found out they are coming out with a new belt sander. Think the bare tool is like $250. So someone actually makes a kit on ebay to adapt a harbor freight sander to the m12 cutoff tool. So this will be another project for the next week.
I need to machine a ring that will screw to the Milwaukee tool for the sander to clamp to. Then machine a pulley to turn the belt. There's a couple you tube vids out there showing how it's done.



Picked up the sander yesterday.theres a big difference in price between the 18 and I think 12 or 13 inch belt models. We have belts at work for the 18 so had to go with the more expensive donor. This will be going with me in my travel bag to the plants along with the cutoff tool parts so will be multifunctional without having to cart 2 tool bodies around

 

I need to shorten the pulley a little so the belt head sits up against the Milwaukee case, But looks like it should work good

 

Since I had the cutoff tool allready and don't use it much it's worth it for me. If I didn't have it already I'd be waiting for the price to drop on the sander from Milwaukee. There's someone that makes the 2 aluminum pieces needed in eBay for $50. I saved that doing it myself, but it was still a couple hours worth of work.

And I'd never used one untill I started working this new job. Wish I had one when I was wrenching
