Can someone advise how the blower motor comes out?
I thought it might come out thru here.

If so, I do not believe the mounting plate will fit thru the hole in the heater housing. Please advise and I sure hope I don't have to remove the whole housing. Please, please, please.

I’m going from a fuzzy memory here but I believe the heater box must be removed. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will chime in. Iirc there is a fan upgrade for the later style heater like that using a Blazer blower motor and fan. I remember years ago lots of discussion about it.

yup the whole heater box needs to come out then it splits in half with a bunch of little bolts. a blazer motor and cage moves a ton more air. the cage for a blazer is larger than the stock one and will require some box mods.
