Does the sender for the light in the cluster need a specific resistance or is it just a switch?

And if it is a switch... how would I change it to use a multi color led to indicate say:
    Red: 0-5 psi
    Yellow: 5-20 psi
    Green: 20+ psi
This would show that there is indeed pressure and not a lack of power to the sender and light.

I have no idea how to get the LED's to change color but likely you would need an electric sender for a gauge instead of a light. A gauge sender would change resistance according to pressure.

The stock oil pressure switch is just a switch. It grounds the terminal with no pressure and breaks the connection with pressure.
