I'm considering picking up this CJ5 fiberglass top. Seller says the top was mounted on a 58.
I am hoping the seller can send me pics of the top on his Jeep, or confirm the windshield that was used with this top.

I know it's hard to tell, but do you guys think the window angle on the doors looks correct for a 55-75?
These are the only pics provided and the top is 3 hours away.

I think that top is for a 1976+. I don't think ACME made a 54-75 hard top. If you look at the Rally Tops patterned from the the ACME tops, the 54-75 tops, the area between the door glass and windshield get larger towards the top:

That said, folks have put a 76 and up winshield on the older tubs before. As long as it clears your cage, that wouldn't be too hard. ...but then you would need to buy a new soft top or swap windshields when swapping tops.

Hopefully he has all the door hardware, too. Hinges on the tub and windshield frame might be unique.

    Best wishes!

Acme did make tops for ‘75 and older CJ-5’s. I’ve seen a couple in person. They used to much more common than they are now.
The ‘76 up windshield frame narrows at the top so if you measure your early/intermediate windshield and compare it to the width of the top where it meets the windshield that should help identify if this will work.

    Looking at the doors I think it's a 76-up.

    You guys got me thinking!
GillaFunk has a fiberglass acme top on his latest project. I'll see if he can get me a measurement.

I agree, it looks like they are angled back more.

Narrower at the top, my brothers '76 and my '75 showed that difference when they were sitting next to each other. I believe it's for a '76 later CJ

I saw this top on CL and was wondering the same thing. Looking at the first pic I have to agree that this one is probably more 76+.

With that said, I have one of these 54-75 tops minus doors, the doors alone seem to be unobtanium. I've been planning to sell it for a while, let me know if you're interested, or would just like some detailed pics.

Just out of curiosity, what does the top measure across the front width where it contacts the window frame?

At the widest point where it contacts the windshield its 58 1/4 measured at the outer edge.
