Debellas has NOS gears and parts for the D18. I’m running them in mine. They aren’t much more than omix and maybe less while made in USA.

All my strange gear noise went away when I replaced them all.

Personally I’d tear it down and thoroughly inspect things before going any further. All conjecture at this point.

I would like to. I still have 30 staples on my stomach. I don't want to do too much right now.

Overdrive came out today. I see I didn't burn it up. All as I need is to disassemble it and clean it.

This is my extra transfer case ready to go back in.

I removed the transfer case. I've never seen so much wear from a Novak shaft. At the top left is other shafts I've remove in the past. The inside of the gear looks good.

Oye man I've seen some early small hole cases look like that, never anything late or modded.

The overdrive sure does collect the partials. I'm going to need a shaker table to clean out the fine tailings.
I did find that the top ball bearing is bad. (Full of chips) I checked my stash and I have a brand new one. :bananatool:

After extensive cleaning of powder metal in the overdrive and replacing the ball bearing in the end cap. The extra transfer case is in and working.

I also sent the intermediate shaft to Novak for harness testing. They said they will test and advise.
