F134 Fan Belt

    Hello all, trying to figure out the correct fan belt for my 63, CJ5. Ordered the 647629 (three 5 auto 17x1075) but seems too short. Even if I messed around & manipulated it to fit, I wouldn’t have any or very little adjustment once it’s on. Not sure if PO did something funky along it’s life. The belt I took off is 1/2” x approx same length as the 647269. My question is , should I just get a longer 17mm(5/8) belt or run with the 1/2”that came off engine. Jeep has single groove generator & water pump pulley & double groove crank pulley.
    I”ll send pics as soon as I figure out how to do. LOL

    You really should use the 5/8 wide belt.

    Yes, should use a 5/8 belt. If you take your old one to a decent FLAPS they have a tool that will measure it.
