Lifter Valley Heat Shield?

I am finally getting around to building my ‘72 304 and putting on a new edelbrock intake. Instructions say to remove and reuse the stock lifter valley heat shield. I unfortunately no longer have the stock intake………any ideas where I can find one as shown in the second image? I am in Seattle Wa. Thanks!

 

I searched for 1/2 hour; sure learned allot about the 304!
It looks like many others have 'lost' this part also. It's definitely needed as some found out the hard way.

On my 72 304 v8, with an Edelbrock intake, I used this Felpro valley pan gasket. As you probably already read to NOT use the front/rear china wall rubber gaskets. Just use RTV. I coated the front/back side of the pan at the intake ports with copper gasket spray then put the RTV on followed by the intake. No vacuum or oil leaks and does not have any issues with oil consumed through the PCV.

 

Hi, i had the same problem as you. Reading different forum i saw different builder putting some scotch bright inside this cavity and cut a same steel plate with hole for the oil do drain out.
