I acquired a complete drivetrain last week which has a fairly new ATV (Saturn) overdrive. This is a rear shift version, and this one is supposed to have a "Guide Pin" installed in the front end of the shift rail bore. This guide pin is missing and I have ordered one from AA. The pin pictured on the AA site has a groove in it which I assume is either for the little roll pin on the flange to enter as a retainer, or possibly for an "O" ring. My question is: Is there supposed to be a seal on this guide pin? Seems like there should be. There is a lipped seal on the other end where the shift rail comes out. If so I couldn't find anything on it. The old Warn front shift version I went through a couple of weeks ago just has an expansion plug in the bore and the shift rail, and an "O" ring in the bore for the shift rail on the business end. The shift rail on the Warn is not bored for a guide pin.
