Buzzard's '65 Cj5 Patina Build

    Here is a long overdue update! Progress is being made and the goal is to drive it for 4th of July. Got the drivetrain all back together and the tub back on.



    the with a painless wiring kit, got it all wired up and built a dual exhaust setup:




    Also went through the brakes and swapped over to discs in the front:

    Now is a good time to convert the steering to anything other than something stamped "Ross".
    I realize you can get the ross to be ok... but I ain't never breezed through my work parking lot with just one palm on the wheel until I put the manual Saginaw on mine this winter.

    Your oil filter and flywheel will thank you!

    yeah agreed. I’m setting up for a manual Saginaw swap next. I briefly mocked up the Ross Box but it wouldn’t clear the engine block.
