    Hello,

I´m a little a bit lost and I need you help.
I want to plug a PCV system on my F134.

As is shown on picture as number 1 is a hole to the manifold with 3/8"
Number 2 is fitting for pipe 1/4" but I don´t know the thread size.

Can you recommend me correct parts or set of 2 or 3 parts with correct size? I need to buy it here in Europe and I have to know the exact dimensions.

    Thank you, Radim.

Why do you want to plug the PCV?

That's not a good idea, what is your rational for doing this?

I got the CJ6 from my father and the car was completely disassembled, all the engine parts were stored in boxes and after many years I set about restoring it. I am now at the stage where the engine is almost finished and this PCV system is one of the last parts missing to complete it. I don't know if it needs to be installed, but it was in the box. That's why I wanted to put it in.

Welcome from Michigan. I would listen to the people here. I have PCV on both my F 134 motors see no reason not to have them. Both are original factory, one is on the side valve cover, the other is on the intake manifold. Good Luck.

Ahhh now I understand, from your original post it reads as if you want to remove the PVC & "plug" (seal) the vacuum port on the intake manifold.

Can you provide us with pictures of the PVC system, the driver's side of the engine showing the area around the fuel pump and front of the side valve cover and the valve cover on the head? There are a few different designs for the PVC system & we need to be able to identify which you have.

    Thank you Howard :)

Here are some photos of my engine. I have also two valve covers.
I have highlight one thing about the PCV valve - it is emtpy. There is no spring or other component inside. I will probably have to buy a new one.

OK so all you need is a working PVC valve and a 1/4" line run from the tee fitting by the fuel pump up to the vacuum port under the carburetor. Those parts (1 & 2) are standard fittings- you need a tee fitting 3/8" NPT (National Pipe Thread) to 1/4" inverse flare. You will of course also need the flared fittings for the tube.

Both the fuel & vacuum should run next to each other (actually the factory clipped them together) across the front of the engine block under the water pump then angle up toward the carb & manifold port behind/below the oil filter.

Your oil dipstick tube should have a short barb on it that would accept a 1/2" rubber hose coming from the air cleaner, this is how fresh air is introduced for the PVC system.

I would recommend using steel or NICOP brake line tubing for the fuel, vacuum lines and oil feed to the head, copper will "work harden" over time & vibration and may crack.

Looks like a good project :)

Ok thank you for the info, I really appreciate it.

I need to clarify the "tee" fitting. It must be T - fitting like is above the fuel pump or it can be 90° Lbow fitting like is on the first picture with gray engine?

On the green valve cover is short barb as well. Where should it be connected?

Hmm... 3/8" to 1/4" it will not be easy to find it...

I understand you are in Prague, but the complete set is available pre-bent here. Shipping might be an issue but I’d consider it as it’s all bent correctly in steel, ready to go. It is what I used and was perfect. Plus Carl and Daniel are great people to work with there. The pics might help you too. https://walcks4wd.com/Engine-Vacuum-Line-Kit-CJ3B-CJ5-CJ6_p_1387.html

Thanks, Mickey, I will turn it into steel, but later. From what you are all saying here, it makes sense. Right now I'm concentrating on getting all the remaining parts connected and getting the engine started.

Would you please give me the exact link to Rockauto? I want to make sure I'm ordering the right part.

Thank you, I´m going to find it.

So, I have one more question regarding to valve cover. Which one is better with or without an "output" and where this output barb shoulb be connected? Because I have both possibiliteis and I don´t know what is better.
