1971 Wiper Pivot

I need a wiper pivot. I can't find one for sale for anything other than 1976 and later. Are they the same? Or does anyone know where to buy one? Or does anyone have a used one they'd like to sell? Thanks

 

Try Barney's. The parts for a '69-75 will be the same. '76-up is different (nearly everything changes for the 1976 model). I recall you can replace the linkage complete with the '76 and later type, but the lengths of the links are different. Barney's used to sell a kit that was the '76-up parts modified for a '69-75 windshield.

 

There are two part numbers for the pivots: 5450662 right side with rod, and 5450661 left side with no rod. The 5450662 is currently made by Crown and you can find it at several sellers on eBay and elsewhere. The left one is just the pivot and I don't see it anywhere. It's similar to the '76-up part 5453957 which is available and might work.
