four speed in a 1971 Scout

    Is a Scout four speed of this vintage adaptable to a Duantless and a T-18 transfer case?

    Anything is adaptable with enough money and inguenity. Need to know which transmission it is. For identification go to NOVAK website . There are alot of different transmissions listed there

    Depends on how much they want for it. If it is cheap, it won't matter if it is adaptable or not, since it will have the mainshaft/adapter(somewhere around $475 for the aftermarket adapter kit) you need to install a Ford T18A. Other than that, 67cj5's advice is golden.
