I have a 1971 CJ-5 with a Warn front winch bumper mounted. It also has an air tank integral to the bumper which makes the entire bumper an air tank. The fittings for the air lines are directly under the winch plate on the bumper itself and is fully functional ( 60 lbs pressure today) This was on the Jeep when I bought it and I am trying to research its origins. Did Jeep ship the CJ-5 with this bumper? Or was it an after market add on?

Winch might have been a dealer install, not sure if '71 would have been electric or PTO yet though. What model Warn? Google that and see if you can get a year of manufacture.

    Air tank/bumper would be aftermarket/custom.

I had a jeep w/ airtank front bumper once. It was strictly homemade and I doubt the aftermarket would even manufacture one due to liability.
