My fuel pump has the two fittings for vacuum line fittings and I see a metal line coming from a tee that I think is a vacuum line. I know the windshield wipers hook to one of these but what goes on the other ones?

The lower one is the vac line to the wipers, just cap it if you have electric.

The upper one is the fuel line from the gas tank.

Thank you for the help. I knew where the gas line goes into the pump but that leaves three ports where you can hook a hose to. Can I use any of the three (2 ports under the fuel pump, rigid tube ) to hook my wipers to and block off the rest ?

Original set up was that the pump sucks "in" from the wipers, and the "out" port went to the intake manifold vacuum, past a "T" from the PCV valve. In other words the manifold vacuum and the pump vacuum work together in series to power the wipers.

So I should hook the flexible vacuum line for tge wipers to the rigid line coming from the “T” ?

Only if you don't want the pump assisting. Manifold vacuum drops to almost nothing when climbing hills, etc.

So OEM setup was that the rigid line to the PCV "T" attached to the output (pressure) port of the vacuum pump. The wipers should connect to the input (vacuum) port of the pump.

I wish someone would post a clear diagram of this.

The problem about a clear diagram is they changed the PCV connection on different models, which makes finding the appropriate diagram difficult. It can be confusing but basically, the output (blows) of the vacuum pump goes to the fitting for the PCV valve, and the input (Vacuum) powers the wipers.

Thanks. I’ll hook it up like your picture shows and see what happens.
