I’ve seen a number of posts where members are referencing a parts book in their replies.

Does anyone have a recommendation for buying a good one? I’d like to have one if they’re available.

    Thanks in advance...

    Faxon - Search

There's only one parts book accessible to us, and that's whatever Jeep distributed to its dealerships for parts counter use. Original copies are sometimes available used on eBay or Faxon or maybe other sellers. Likely you will be limited to a reprint like Faxon sells.

There is also the Hollander Interchange guide which junkyards use, but I believe that's more of a subscription thing. Likely very expensive.

Jeep published half a dozen different parts lists and parts catalog from 1966 through 1971.
The best for your application would be the March 1971 edition of the Universal Parts Catalog (UPL)
    Known as the W-1195 R2

    I used this one.

It was valuable for more than just identifying which parts to buy. I could often see better how things went back together. That said, I probably found two or three errors... at least I hope it was THEIR error... :)

I too have seen errors in the later books. However, the aftermarket listings aren't in the same universe of accuracy.
