clutch pedal on the floor

    hello got my new trans from herm,cut the fly wheel new sacks clutch presssure plate throw out bearing and coller/put the trans in and the pedal is on the floor/i see that the bearing is about 1 inch away from the fingers on the pressure plate/4cyl t-90 1955/what did i do wrong??????/i did recheck the cross shaft it is in right /i need help/thanks

    There are different lengths of connecting rods between the cross shaft pivot and pedal. If some extra length would solve it you can do like I did....

    Did you check the length of the new throw-out bearing against the old one? Is the cross tube in the same position as before? Not swapped end for end?

    yes i did check the new throw out bearing with the old one/the cross shaft i marked long end 3-1/8th as the cable side pointing up and the short side 2-3/4 inch as the rod side pointing down/ i am using the old clutch fork/with the trans in the jeep the bearing sits about an inch away from the pressure plate fingers before i start to do the adj/////////thanks

    Gotta be the pressure plate then. Did you switch from a Borg and Beck to a diaphram or visa versa?
