HEI From NAPA

    I got my distributor and it seems right. Odd fire checks out with three pointers.
    Ordered Fromn NAPA:
    Ign Coil ECH IC18

    Rotor ECH RR173

    1977 Buick Skylark 231 V-6
    Dist Cap ECH RR194

    The distributor has a plug with 3 wires and a plug. The cap has a molded piece that accomodates 3 wires.

    The coil has two wires that fit into the outside two slots in the cap. The center slot is empty and the plug from the distributor doesn't fit into the socket in the cap.

    I think the coil is the wrong one, any ideas out there?

    one wire is for keyed power and one is for tach hook up.
