I've bought some Dana 44s for my 76 CJ5. (Please, no peanut-gallery heckling, I know some people think the AMC 20 is as good or better, etc... the axles are in my garage, these have lockers, higher ratio gears, etc, that decision is a done deal.)

For relocating the front springs outside the frame, I'm looking at this kit, but would appreciate recommendations or pointers:

Jeep CJ Full-Width Axle Kit without Bumper

    The real question, though:

I know I need new spring pads and U-bolts for the larger-diameter axle, but I'm wondering how the sway bar end-links and shock mounts work, which are part of the spring pads in the factory setup. I'm actually not too worried about giving up the sway bar, as this thing will not be driven on-road all that often (or far), but the shocks are clearly another story!

Does somebody make a plug-n-play spring pad setup for this situation?

Edit: Even more confusing to me ... the top of the shock is mounted outside the frame rail, so it appears it would interfere with the spring relocation, but none of the kits I've looked at mention this at all.
